Acceleration in Frenet-Serret space is defined in terms of tangential and normal acceleration. Given a parameterized position vector the acceleration is defined as the second time derivative of position.

We can also define the acceleration in terms of two scalar components and the tangential and normal components of the acceleration respectively.
